The Hotel General Manager will oversee all aspects of operations for an apartment hotel in Kochi, ensuring high standards of guest satisfaction, operational efficiency, and financial performance. Key Responsibilities: Oversee day-to-day hotel operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning across all departments. Lead and motivate the hotel team, promoting a culture of excellent service and hospitality. Manage guest relations, addressing complaints and resolving issues to maintain high guest satisfaction. Monitor and optimize the hotel’s financial performance through budgeting, forecasting, and cost control. Implement marketing and promotional strategies to increase occupancy and attract new guests. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements. Manage vendor and supplier relationships, negotiating contracts to benefit the hotel’s needs. Conduct regular inspections to maintain high standards of cleanliness, maintenance, and overall property condition. Prepare and present performance reports to stakeholders, identifying areas for improvement. Drive employee training and development programs to enhance service quality and operational skills.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field. Proven experience as a Hotel General Manager or in a similar leadership role within the hospitality industry. Strong understanding of hotel operations, financial management, and guest services. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle diverse responsibilities. Preferred Skills: Knowledge of apartment hotel operations and extended-stay guest needs. Proficiency in hotel management software (e.g., Opera, PMS).
