Position Summary: The Assistant Travel Agency Manager supports the Travel Agency Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring excellent customer service, and achieving sales targets. The Assistant Manager plays a key role in supporting the team, optimizing workflow, and enhancing the client experience.
Key Responsibilities: Assist in managing daily agency operations, ensuring efficient service and smooth workflows. Support the team in handling bookings, itinerary planning, and client inquiries. Supervise and train travel consultants, providing guidance and performance feedback. Help implement sales strategies and marketing initiatives to achieve targets. Assist in managing vendor relationships and negotiating terms with travel partners. Resolve client concerns and handle complex travel requests, maintaining high service standards. Monitor industry trends and assist in identifying new travel opportunities and packages. Oversee administrative tasks such as scheduling, inventory, and document management. Prepare reports on team performance and sales metrics for the Agency Manager.
Preferred Skills: Familiarity with global distribution systems (e.g., Amadeus, Sabre). Sales and marketing experience within the travel industry. Proficiency in additional languages for international clientele.
